The ODCA Scholarship is now open and requesting applications to be submitted no later than August 15, 2024. There is now a new online application form capable of attaching supporting documents and links to YouTube videos.

The Reunion Committee unanimously agreed to change the name to the much more inclusive Ontario Drum Corps Alumni... the ODCA.

We live. We learn. When the reunion concept was first initiated, the thought was that it would best be served by GTA drum corps since there were so many in the region over the years. As interest in the actual reunion event grew outside the GTA, the concept needed to include all Ontario drum corps... and it did. To show that this is the inclusive scope moving forward, the acronym ODCA is reborn.

Finally, after hours and hours of sorting and cataloguing, the photos are finally available on our website here. All are broken down into albums that we felt would allow you to browse easier. We've even added download and share icons on all photos.

That's a wrap! The first Reunion banquet has come and gone without any blisters, lost bucks, or withered plumes. It was an amazing event to see long lost friends reunite and that awesome comradary that comes with being in drum corps. Funds raised will be going to upcoming scholarships, so watch for more info on that.

A special thanks to those groups who performed for the event considering it was an unpaid concert... simply a time to show that the performance spirit is still alive in many alumni. If you are interested in joining one of these groups or getting more information, you are welcome to contact us through this website and we will put you in touch with them.

We trust that everyone made it home safely. If you have any comments about the reunion, good or not so good, please let us know so that we can better plan future events. If you are interested in being part of the committee, please let us know as the planning will start up again in the new year.

Watch for an upcoming announcement of the Reunion photos. We're going to be quite busy sorting through them so please be patient.

Complimentary Shuttle - The shuttle service will be available from 2pm for the duration of the event... thanks to an anonymous donor!

Drum Jam starts at 1pm

Check-in Registration opens at 2pm (don’t worry drummers, we’ve got you covered)

Cash Bar Only - Please make sure you have cash on hand.

Memorabilia - If you have not requested a Memorabilia Table yet and would like to have one, let us know. Note: We are not responsible for any loss or damage to items

Volunteers Needed - We are still in need of volunteers for the day. If you are able to help out, please respond either below or via email and someone will be in touch before Saturday.

MOST IMPORTANT:

Have Fun and help raise funds to continue the Ontario Drum Corps Alumni Music Scholarship.

This will be an historic event as we reacquaint with old friends and competitors, sharing stories of wonderful times that shaped who we are today, and remembering dear friends who have left us since.

• 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM - Check-in
• 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Drum Jam (must be reg'd guest)
• 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM - Live Performances (DOCA, CADRE, SIGNALS, OPTIMISTS ALUMNI)
• 6:00 PM - Dinner Seating
• 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM - Catered Buffet Dinner
• 8:00 PM - 1:00 AM - DJ & Dancing

Still can't make it to the reunion? Consider a donation of any amount. Every cent goes to the Ontario Drum Corps Music Scholarship for the coming year(s). We have 3 recipients this year!

We are just under one month away from the amazing Ontario Drum Corps Reunion.

If you have not signed up for the reunion day Drum Jam, you are missing out on an opportunity of a lifetime.

If you are shy about playing on a drum, bring a pad and sticks. If you do not have a pad and sticks, there should be enough to share.

There will be material from very basic paradiddle exercises to advanced and everything in between.

Everyone signing up for the Jam will receive by email, written music and corresponding videos of each drumming piece.

It will be a BLAST!!!

Well, we've hit the bigtime now! Our reunion is mentioned in a full page article in the newest issue of Drum Corps World, which features the results and top 12 corps of this year's DCI World Championships. The article (and issue) can be viewed here.

You've broken the meter!!!

.We have surpassed the 100% reservation target and you've forced us to add more seating (yes, we can still add more). That's a few hundred alumni & friends from over 100 Ontario drum corps. There's still a few days left to reserve if you haven't yet. Go here: Reunion Reservation

The wonderful thing is that you are helping to sustain the Ontario Drum Corps Music Scholarship fund into the next year(s).

Watch for an announcement in the next few days about this year's scholarship award winners. You may even get to meet them at the reunion!

We are just 6 weeks away from the Long Awaited Retreat.

Reservations are so close to 100% sold and there have been a few inquiries regarding deadline and payment...

• With the deadline for reservations being over the DCI weekend, we have decided to extend it 2 more weeks to August 24th.
• If you haven't paid yet, you need to do that A.S.A.P. The terms of the reservation were to pay within 15 days and that cheque payments will not be accepted after September 12th.
• If you made a reservation and are not expecting to attend, contact us through the website or reply to this email to cancel your reservation. Knowing the numbers is critical to the success of the event.
• Ticket purchase will not be accepted at the door.
